Sunlight panted. She was a bloodied, injured thing at the moment.
She was recently attacked by Inkpad- A saber monster out of the blue. Even if Sun did break one of the tribe laws for prey, She didn't start the fight for once. She was assaulted. Her eye was torn and ripped apart, along with the right side of her face. her once luxurious, flawless coat was matted with blood; Opened gashes welled up blood, scored down her back and hind legs. She will forever be scarred and half blind. Now that the thrill of battle was over, the adrenaline had left her body and the pain was almost overwhelming. She had dropped her prey of deer long before she reached the den- it was too heavy for her. Hitrost' was no where to be seen, but that mattered not. What mattered was she needed to speak to Platinum. For all she knew, the Tribe could be in danger.
Yet something else prodded the back of her mind... What would Hitrost' think?
As she entered the den, the air grew tense, eyes watched her broken pelt approach the King's raised living space by the pool o water. She didn't smell her courting leopard over the reek of blood in her nose. Thank goodness.
Platinum was resting on his rock, paw hanging down in the water. A claw was extended as fish nipped at the foreign intruder. He was passing the time. The king has bee growing, now almost 3 years of age and a whopping 550 lbs, Platinum was also growing mentally. Lately Hitrost' has been wandering off on his own to check the outskirts of the den. The king could easily find him on he outside, out for danger's reach, sleeping in the sun on a rocky outcropping. It must be mating season for Hit, he get reclusive and grouchy when his testosterone levels peak. He pondered.
"King Platinum.."
Sunlight's voice came out in a weak croak, and this was unusual.
"Sun what's.... wrong..."
His words fell out slowly as he eyed the torn female. her injuries were bleeding horribly, and Solaris's shaman has left. "Here, get in the water." he said and stood, allowing her to move past, but close enough for him to catch her if she fell. The beaten leopard complied and tread to the water, slowly but surely "What happened?" He asked her, dismay edged his voice, "Who did this to you?"
Sunlight lay in the cold water. The coolness helped numb the pain, "I went off hunting." Platinum turned serious, but before he could speak, Light beat him to it, "Don't lecture me, cub, I know I broke a law. I helped create them." she hissed. With a twitch of her whiskers she continued, "I was hunting and caught myself a sizable deer when I was ambushed by that mange infested piece of foxdung!" she winced at her injuries, "I told her she was on Solaris turf, but she just attacked me to try and take my prey. I defended it to the best of my ability, but she was huge. We're talking the size of a damn elk, Platinum, I couldn't beat her alone." she looked down, "She mauled my eye and back. I know I'll be blind in that eye." She confirmed her own horrors.
Platinum's expression became grim.
"Where is she now? Who is she?"
"I don't know. I never got any names. She pelted through the forest after I sliced her nose. There's no way we could miss her."
"Is she alone?"
"She was when she attacked me."
Metallic eyes drifted away from hers as he looked down. Hit wasn't here to guide him now. This was all on the King. Vacant expression becoming fiery, he spoke.
"Even if you are a highly ranked cat, Sunlight, you broke a law. However, your injuries are enough punishment. You're restricted to the den and will tend to cats in here under Hitrost''s word." His jowls folded back and ears pinned against his head, "You could have been killed. I am thoroughly upset with you." With a gruff snort he stood and turned from her
"However, This attack cannot be over looked. We have a prey thief in our territory
...
We attack on sight."
Platinum's icy words gave a chill to the atmosphere. This was the first A.O.S. Platinum has issued. Sunlight couldn't help but wonder what she has gotten her tribe into..
