***ATTENTION; Hawkstorm is now known as Sunlight in game!***
Inkpad woke up from her nap and yawned. She flexed her claws into the soil and ran her long tongue over her lips. Her mouth was dry, so she decided to go to the river. She was just about to exit the vacant den when she saw the brown and white female. She stood as tall as she could, and started swishing her tail.
Sunlight. Spotted female was smaller then most big cats, but given a spitfire of a temper to make up for it. The queen leopard was dragging her prey to the turf of Solaris, but in order to do so, she needed to pass a river basin. Snarls ahead of her caught her attention- Someone was hissing at her. The irritable female looked up to see some sort of mutated drone. Dropping her catch of deer she stood over it, tail hackled and fluffed twice it's size, "The hell are you?" She demanded, "You do realize this is Solaris territory."
Inkpad began whipping her tail around, a danger for anyone behind her. She tried to stand even taller, and looked down at the deer. She licked her lips but faced this stranger. "Yes, I know. I was just getting a drink if you don't mind." She lowered herself and got ready to pounce.
Sunlight hissed, hackles bristling, "You know, if you attack, you will be mauled by the entire Tribe. We will come after you." Her warning was more then a bluff. She kicked her prey behind her, unsheathing her claws as a smoldering growl erupted from her lungs. Muscles tensed as adrenaline pumped through her veins, her green eyes watched.
Inkpad snarled at the cat, but still staying low. "You know, if YOU attack, you will be mauled by a pride of Reptilian Sabers." She watched the deer go behind this feline and whimpered in her mind. She was not hungry, but it was always nice to have food around. Suddenly she pounced and aimed for the cat. If she made it, she would scratch everywhere she could reach, then back off.
Sunlight sneered, "What, a party of two? Fool, you lumbering behemoths would be an easy target!" she was watching the beast as it went for her. Luckily, the monster was half a ton, so this made an easy dodge. With a scoff she snatched her prey with her hind paws, kicked it back and turned to grab it. unfortunately the turn would leave her back open, but her light weight allowed her to outrun the beast easily. Once her prey was grabbed she'd haul ass to try to climb a tree. However, the prey weighed her down. She was slower now and open for a beating.
Inkpad roared and charged the feline. She went for the back, and again if she made it she would scratch everywhere she could reach. She would first go for the eyes, digging her claws into the beast's sockets. She would then tear on it's ears. Then, if everything went well, she would take the deer and lumber off with it.
Sunlight, focused on trying to bring her prey back for her courting male Hitorst', never saw the beast bare down on her. The weight of the attacker was painful and knocked her lungs clean, however this gave her ample time to protect herself. Tucking her head under her chest and covering her face, she managed to protect one eye from attack. Claws raked over her snout and down her cranium, eye being mauled in the pit it was held. More claws raked their way down her spinal column and hips. She snarled and hissed, pain was numbed by the fight or flight response. With one final heave, she launched out from under the beast and lunged for her snout with outstreached claws. She's aiming to get one slash in to give the beast a scar.
Inkpad quickly shut her mouth but took the blow. She now had a probably lifelong scar across the bridge of her snout. She kept her mouth shut, but still went for the prey. While she was trying to take it, she would kick with her back legs and rake across any flesh they could find.
Sunlight dodged the flailing legs by jumping backwards after her minor attack. She stood there, eye reduced to a pulp that was hanging out of her socket. Swallowing the pain, she snarled a caterwaul and charged, "You've just declared war on Solaris." she hissed, low and menacing. With that she aimed to bite at the monster's throat, a bloody raged mess.
Inkpad turned and whipped her tail to fend off the cat, dropped the prey and ran off roaring, "I'm sorry, don't tell this to Platinum. Please!" With that she promptly jumped in the river and sat at the bottom, waiting.
Sunlight fell to the ground with a thud. She sat dazed, but roared after the beast, "Not tell Platinum?! Oh he'll know alright! You stupid beast!" she called her warning. Tired and weak, Hawk picked up her prey and lazily walked off towards the den, a trail of blood would lead the way.
Inkpad rose up to the surface after waiting a while and ran off to the opposite direction the other feline went. She hid in a tree and was shaking she was scared so much. "No, no. What am I going to do? I can surrender, yeah that's it. I'll give all the territory or whatever they want. I'll promise to never hurt one of them again." She shook even more, making the tree tremble.
